Need Work - The Top 6 Reasons To Search Work From Home Positions

By Jonathan Booker

What a difference a few months and some smart choices have made in my life. I was watching the kids playing on the park yesterday, isn't it amazing what you can learn about them from their interaction with others. Anyway as the world passed by I caught myself sayings "I remember what a normal day in my old job used to be like".

I was staying away in hotels around the UK from Sunday evening through to Friday night. Working away from home is brilliant to begin with. Staying in hotels and having everything done for you is amazing, until it becomes normal and the novelty wears away.

It's amazing how steak's and full English breakfast's soon become boring and predicable and you start to day dream and long for Beans on toast and even Tracy's heavy chocolate cake. (I blame the chocolate cake for my extra few pounds)

On days I started from home I would begin around 6.15am with a visit to Coffee Nation to wash the cob webs away. I was missing large chunks of the children growing up. Looking back now, I don't know how my wife Tracy put up with it. I suppose the money and perks where great but there was no balance or stability.

At work things where a rollercoaster really, I loved my job with all my heart and performed and climbed the cooperate ladder. My experience as I got higher up the ranks was that the actual work became secondary to positioning, Company politics and playing the corporate game.

As somebody who is pretty straight talking and focused on results, I found this didn't always go down well in the board room. Maybe it was just the one I sat in, spending hours talking about everything that didn't matter. But mostly it's just arse licking and maintaining old relationships, at all costs despite results no matter how bad they were.

Most of all I didn't enjoy the constant broken promises on share options and the carrot always been dangled and then moved.

Then one evening on my way home I took ownership of my life. I said "That's it" and handed my notice in. Tracy went mad, not sure why I thought she would be pleased. After a spell sleeping on the settee without chocolate cake (perk). She was proud of my commitment to the family, but understandably wanted to make sure we would be ok financially.

Maybe I should have looked for something first? Not my style. Onto the Island and burn the boats and bridges kind of guy.

My life changed permanently since I decided to work from home. The life I now have is one of working from home part time around mainly the kids and their schooling. I'm making good money and have a far better quality of life and stronger relationships with the people who matter most. Today I enjoyed my son's first day at Big Little School and was so proud, as I was the only Dad that turned up.

So I want to share with you my 6 top reasons for you to work from home
1. You Don't Have To Commute
You can do most of my work on a morning in the 2 hours it's taken everyone else to get to work. You save money on transport costs and you are been Greener to the World as well. Plus no more traffic jams or setting off early to avoid them.

2. Your Are Your Own Boss
Decide when and where you want to work. You can be totally flexible around your commitments, dreams and hobbies. You may have to be hard on yourself from time to time (I have stern words most weeks) but also you get to decide all your own rewards.

3. You Earn your Value
You will get out what you put in and the Sky is the limit for you. If you leverage yourself and learn from the best, you don't even need to worker any harder, just smarter.

4. You Can Spend Time Doing What's Important To You
With the entire leverage tool's out there, this is the most flexible job you will ever get. I spend maybe 1 hour on a morning loading up my leveraged systems then it works for me all day. As your business is running without You, You can be where you need to be. Most importantly you can be "in the moment" knowing that its generating Leads and income for you at the same time.

5. You Can Get Tax Benefits
You can make your money go way further by getting Yourself a good Accountant and having all the benefits of been Self Employed or a Business Owner.

6. You Can Have a Circle Of Friends From Around The World.
It's a great time to be alive. You are at the cutting edge of evolution and the Internet has given you an opportunity to make friends and do business all around the world. I have great friends in the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia. You can truly have a global network.

Extra bonus:
I make the chocolate cake and it's light and fluffy like a butterfly.
